Student of the Month Recognition

The Optimist Club recognizes a middle school student from public and parochial schools in
West Bend. Each school chooses their recipient based on qualities that the
Optimist Club promotes. These qualities include: being optimistic and cheerful, always seeing good in others, being enthusiastic about the success of others, being helpful to those who show signs of need, and participating in a variety of school and community activities.

November Student of the Month:
Sullivan Shafranski, an 8th grader at Badger Middle School received the November 2025 Student of the Month award! Sullivan is a hard worker who is kind to all, always positive and shows great leadership skills. He excels academically and always wants others to strive to do well. Sullivan also brightens the day of those around him, which is why Sullivan was chosen as the Student of the Month at Badger Middle School by his teachers.

December Student of the Month:
Joscelyn Bertram, an 8th grader from Good Shepherd, received the December 2025 Student of the Month award. Joscelyn was selected because of the positive spirit she brings to everything she does. Her kindness, humility, and willingness to serve reflect a heart that seeks to honor God and others.

January Student of the Month:
Maysen Worth, an 8th grader at Holy Angels School was recognized as the January 2026 Student of the Month! Maysen was chosen because she treats everyone with respect and always has a smile on her face. She is also a wonderful role model and leader in all that she does for her school, classmates and the community.

February Student of the Month:
Semilore Arowobusoye, a 6th grader from Silverbrook Intermediate School, was recognized as the February 2025 Student of the Month recipient. Semi enthusiasm and willingness to always help others shines brightly. She is involved in numerous school activities and has a 4.0 GPA. Congrats Semi, on being recognized by your teachers and peers!

March Student of the Month:
The Optimist Club awarded Brinley Fortney, an 8th grader from St. Frances Cabrini School, the March 2025 Student of the Month award. Her teachers expressed how Brinley is always looking out for others and encourages others to try their best. She brightens your day and has contagious optimism! Congrats to Brinley on being chosen as the Optimist Student of the Month!

April Student of the Month:
Congratulations to Michaela Grande, from St. John’s Lutheran School for being awarded our April 2025 Student of The Month! She was chosen because of her kindness towards her peers, her strong academic work ethic, and the positivity that is evident in her daily walk.
